CET for Medical Colleges put off for a Year

MBBS aspirants take note. The Medical Council of India (MCI) which proposed a single entrance examination for MBBS and PG programmes across public and private colleges will not be proceeding with the idea in the academic year 2011 – 2012. This is because most of the states/ colleges have already announced their respective entrance exams. The move came after the Supreme Court directive to the center of MCI's petition. The MCI has also proposed a grading system for medical colleges. This step is being considered as a means to boost the quality of both private and government medical colleges across the country.
