- There are total of 200 questions for the exam which are objective in nature.
- Each subject has 60 questions making it 180 questions in total.
- There is a general knowledge section with 20 questions which make total of 200 questions.
Since there is a limitation of seats at AIIMS, there is stiff competition in the exams held each year. This fight is for a mere 700 seats yearly.
The AIIMS MBBS Exam for 2018 will have 3 and a half hour to prove your worth.
- For each right answer, you would score one mark and for every wrong answer you would lose 1/3 marks. So, 3 wrong answers would equal to 1 mark deduction.
- If any question is unanswered, then there would be no marks allotted or deducted for it.
The question booklet has four sections i.e. Physics, Biology, Chemistry and General Knowledge which would be printed in English and Hindi Languages. You would need to select your preferred language at the time of filling the application form. Once the choice has been made there would be no amendments to it.
There is a general standard for the syllabus as this would comprise of the class 11th and 12th portion. The question sets would be mixed as per the paper maker preferences.
The syllabus is vast as compared to any other medical entrance exams and the students would need professional help from private institutes.
